Ian Mogavero

Ian Mogavero is the Chief Operating Officer at the TechEquity Collaborative. Before joining TechEquity, Ian was a Director at Eastern Research Group (ERG), where he led engagements to help U.S. and international clients achieve environmental, social, and financial benefits through strategic planning, impact investment, and program evaluation. Prior to ERG, Ian served as an independent consultant providing strategy, finance, and implementation support for clients in the nonprofit sector.

Before his time in consulting Ian was Deputy Executive Director of SeaPlan, where he built and managed the finance and operational functions of this ocean planning nonprofit. He advanced data acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and policy development for state, federal, and private partners. Under his leadership, SeaPlan was instrumental in numerous achievements including construction of the first offshore wind farm in the US, the Northeast Regional Ocean Plan, and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Ocean Action Plan. Ian has also worked for a number of other nonprofit and for profit entities across various sectors. Ian holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts.
